J.K. Rowling Takes Down Tweets Slamming Trump Over a Misleading Video, Apologizes
J.K. Rowling has apologized for her tweets slamming President Trump over a deceptively edited video a few days ago.
The video appearing to show the President ignoring a boy in a wheelchair went viral, but then it turned out that Trump did interact with him and didn’t ignore him.
Rowling received criticism over the weekend for not only spreading the misleading video, but for not taking her tweets down:

PolitiFact rated her tweets Pants on Fire today.
This afternoon she apologized on Twitter––to the boy and his family, not to Trump––and said she’s taking down the initial tweets:

As of this posting, Rowling has taken down most of the tweets from her earlier tweetstorm, save for this one:
That man occupies the most powerful office in the free world and his daily outrages against civilised norms are having a corrosive effect /3
