James Corden: Letterman’s Late Night Influence Will Live On

Pretty much everyone in late night has been singing the praises of David Letterman, leading up to his final show Wednesday night.

And, of course, CBS’ other late night host, James Corden, has spoken out about the lasting influence Letterman has had on him and everyone in late night.

In an interview with Variety, the Late Late Show host praised Letterman’s “fearlessness bordering on recklessness,” and how the kind of “wackiness” he engaged in on a regular basis rubbed off on his show.

Corden also praises the “bravery” Letterman exhibited in late night and makes it clear that “you’ll never, ever know where the influence of that will end. It certainly won’t stop with me.”
