Jim Acosta to Don Jr: ‘Because of Your Father’s Rhetoric’ We are Worried Someone is Going to Get Hurt

Donald Trump Jr. used a tweet sent by Jim Acosta on Wednesday — the same day at the bomb scare at CNN headquarters — as a launching pad to blame CNN for calling the Trump family “Racists and Nazis.”
On Wednesday night, Acosta said this on Twitter, echoing what CNN hosts said that night on the air:
“Trump talked about the bombs sent to former public officials at his rally in Wisconsin,” Acosta wrote. “But once again he didn’t mention CNN. On top of all that he criticized the ‘media’ for coverage he doesn’t like. And, of course, he took no responsibility for his own rhetoric.”
The First Son did not let Acosta’s tweet go without remark.
On Thursday morning he fired back, insisting that CNN didn’t take responsibility when they were “calling my family Racists and Nazis for 2 years when my wife actually opened an exploding envelope of white powder intended for me.”
Acosta responded to the Trump son’s inflammatory remark Thursday night by noting the people of CNN were “terrified” for members of the Trump family when they were attacked.
He added the concern now is that someone could get hurt.
“Don please understand everybody at CNN was terrified for members of your family when they were attacked,” he wrote. “Please also understand that because of your father’s rhetoric (calling us the enemy of the people), we are all very worried that somebody is going to get hurt.”
So far, Trump Jr. has not responded to Acosta’s latest tweet.
