Joe Biden: ‘Yes We Do’ Want To ‘Raise Taxes By $1 Trillion’

Appearing before a group of supporters of President Barack Obama in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on Thursday, Vice President Joe Biden told the campaign rally attendees that those who say that the Obama administration want to raise $1 trillion in taxes are right. “Yes we do,” Biden said.

“You know what they say? ‘Obama and Biden want to raise taxes by $1 trillion.’ Guest What? Yes we do, in one regard. We want to let that trillion dollar tax cut expire so the middle class doesn’t have to bear the burden of all that money going to the super wealthy,” said Biden. “That’s not a tax rate hike. That’s called fairness where I come from.”
