Limbaugh: Major Garrett Rattled Obama Because He Was Enjoying Press ‘Idolatry’

limbaughRush Limbaugh said today the reason President Obama practically snapped at CBS’ Major Garrett was because he was enjoying the “idolatry” from the rest of the press.

In what ended up being the biggest moment of yesterday’s presser on the Iran deal, Garrett asked the president if he feels “content” with a deal that doesn’t address the Americans held in captivity in Iran. Obama scolded Garrett and told him his question is “nonsense.”

Limbaugh said it’s perfectly legitimate to ask why the president “did not use the vast power, moral authority of this nation to gain the release of these four Americans while you were putting the rest of this deal together.”

And the reason it bothered him so much, Limbaugh surmised, is because he was in a “celebratory mood” fueled by the rest of the press:

“They’re looking at him the way women looked at Bill Clinton. They just love him. They just think he’s the greatest thing. My God, the love in that room––It’s not love, it’s idolatry and groupie-ism, and he knows it and he’s capitalizing on it. [And] here comes some interloper? Here comes some guy who used to work at Fox News?”

Some reporters yesterday did say that Garrett crossed the line with his question.
