Limbaugh: The Media’s Trump Bashing Is the Worst I’ve Ever Seen
Rush Limbaugh has observed media coverage of Republicans for decades now, and he said today that the media’s bashing of Donald Trump is the worst he’s ever seen.
Limbaugh was going off a New York Times piece on how journalists are treating Trump like a uniquely threatening phenomena to the country. (Mediaite’s Alex Griswold has a breakdown of that piece and its concerning implications here.)
“If bashing Donald Trump were an Olympic event,” Limbaugh said, “the news media would be winning every medal, every gold, every silver, every bronze. It is incredible. It is so bad, the media bashing, the imbalance. I know we say this every four years, but this is the worst that it has been that I have ever seen.”
He said that the media has basically discarded any sense of objectivity and neutrality with the goal of trying to “destroy” Trump “for the sake of humanity.”
