Limbaugh: Trump Is Making a Serious Error Attacking Cruz So Personally

Rush-LimbaughRush Limbaugh has gone out of his way to defend (or at the very least, provide explanations for) Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign, and despite hesitating to flat-out criticize him, he said that Trump’s attacks on Ted Cruz are a serious problem.

The only other time Limbaugh has been critical of Trump this election so far has been following his attacks on Cruz. Well, now that Trump has gone nuclear attacking Cruz again, Limbaugh said, “I think Trump is making a strategic error in the way he criticizes Cruz.”

Now, that’s not to say Limbaugh didn’t try to explain away Trump’s attacks (i.e. of course “they’re both gonna try to take each other out”), but he admitted it’s a little baffling that there are a lot of conservatives who like Trump but hate Cruz.

He said Trump calling Cruz “nasty” is just not a “believable” piece of criticism, and warned that Trump’s “gotta worry that it’s gonna create more negatives within his own support base rather than turn people off to Cruz.”
