‘Me Voting in 2016 vs. 2018’ Meme Explodes on Twitter Ahead of Election

The polls open in roughly 12 hours in much of the Eastern time zone. And across Twitter, a new meme is catching fire on this election eve.
The meme is “Me voting in 2016 vs. 2018.” It has been spread largely among progressives — who are an upbeat image from 2016 juxtaposed against a serious image from 2018 to depict their intensity as they head into the booth on Tuesday. Some on the right, however, have joined in as well with their own spin on the meme.
