Mediaite Appears to Inspire Ellen DeGeneres and Bradley Cooper to Create PSA For Their Tweet

Ellen DeGeneres‘s famous Oscars selfie Tweet is still the king of all Tweets, but Mediaite appears to have awoken a sleeping dragon when we pointed out that a Tweet about chicken nuggets is catching up pretty quickly. As you might imagine, Ellen is none too pleased with this:

Today, she’s stepping up her game. As she puts it, “If you think I’m gonna lose that record to some chicken nugget kid, you are out of your cluckin’ mind.”

It’s not that she doesn’t want Carter Wilkerson to get the chicken nuggets. She just wants to keep her record. So, Ellen brought in Bradley Cooper, who took and appears in the Oscars selfie to create a PSA.

Ellen says, “This nugget kid needs your help to reach his goal but we need your help more.”

Cooper continues, “We put our heart and our soul into that selfie. I had to hold my arms up like this for about 35-40 seconds, my biceps were shaking.”

“And I was sitting on Meryl Streep‘s lap for an uncomfortably long time,” says Ellen.

Cooper then gives Ellen a shoulder rub to show how important it is to retweet. For reference, here are both Tweets:
