Mediaite Now Officially Helping Build Careers

You may have noticed our homepage has changed – the Jobs section no longer features the cute little icons asking you, dear user, how we might assist you in finding your next job. What happened? We got a much better partner — and to be candid — a better deal.

Mediaite is now partnering with leading Internet jobs provider CareerBuilder, who will be handling all of Mediaite’s job boards and job search functionality. Intended as both a clearinghouse for media jobs and as a portal for media veterans seeking a path to a new industry, Mediaite’s Career Center now provides direct access to CareerBuilder’s world-class collection of job seeking tools, industry openings and corporate network.

Given the rather turbulent waters many media companies have found themselves in of late, we feel that offering a robust set of tools to help our fellow mediaites land on their feet is not just an important service, but a terrific sponsorship opportunity as well. Enter CareerBuilder, whose database of over 1 million jobs are now accessible to Mediaite’s audience of media movers and shakers.

The collaboration expands upon Mediaite’s pre-existing job search engine, adding career profiling applications, resume building tutorials and CareerBuilder’s extensive system of career-related web resources. Going further, advanced job seeking is now available with a media twist; accessing the database through Mediate helps to consolidate CareerBuilder’s vast resources in Social Media, Marketing and Advertising, Producing and PR, making it even easier for the job seeker to find exactly what he or she needs.
