Meet The Russian Painter Who Paints Boobshell Putin Portraits
Russian painter Irina Romanovskaya of St. Petersburg just wants to be recognized. In fact, she wants all of the arts in Russia to be better recognized — especially President Vladimir Putin. Hence why she has been painting the likes of Putin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and other government officials with her breasts.
No seriously, I’m not kidding.
According to the Moscow Times, Romanovskaya recently wrote in her LiveJournal that “using your breasts to paint is more complicated, it’s labor intensive and slow.” It’d be easy to assume that her focus on “labor” here would attract the attention of Putin, Medvedev and others on purely ideological grounds.
After all, the paintings are pretty damn good — at least when you consider their means of creation:

But as a video produced and published by Russia Today suggestively notes, Romanovskaya “hopes to attract the attention of politicians to the role of artists in society.” So the common denominator isn’t the “labor intensive” nature of the painter’s preferred method, per se. Rather, it’s the emphasis on attraction.
Considering the video’s heightened focus on Romanovskaya’s chest, there’s a decent chance that Putin et al. will probably take notice — if they haven’t already.
