Awkward! Minister Interrupts Wedding, Snaps at Photographers: ‘Move or I Will Stop’

When you set up a wedding, you obviously want to have photographers there to capture the magic moments and give you memories to last a lifetime. It’s equally important, then, to make sure you get a priest who isn’t completely offended by that. Case in point, in a viral YouTube video posted this week, a priest interrupts the couple’s wedding vows to tell the photographers to buzz off.

There is a noticeable look of discomfort on the bride and groom’s faces throughout the video, most likely because they kind of wanted the photographers to get shots of them during the ceremony. But Father Luddite apparently wanted no part of it. Here’s how the awkward conversation broke down:

Priest: Please, sirs, leave. Please.

Photographer: Where do you want me to be?

Priest: Anywhere but here. This is a solemn assembly, not a photography session. Please move or I will stop. I will stop the ceremony if you do not get out of the way. This is not about the photography. This is about God.

And, you know, the happiness of the couple, but why quibble with God?
