New Obama Ad Hits Romney For Refusing To Say Whether He’d Repeal New Immigration Policy

Following President Obama‘s announcement about the change in immigration policy, many turned to see what Mitt Romney had to say about it. Would he repeal Obama’s measure? We don’t yet know, because Romney’s avoided answering that question. A new ad from the Obama campaign hits Romney for exactly that reason.

The ad is based off Romney’s CBS appearance on Sunday, during which Bob Schieffer repeatedly asked him whether he’d repeal Obama’s immigration policy as president, and Romney repeatedly evaded giving a straight answer, instead criticizing Obama’s lack of a long-term solution and . From there it continues, counting day by day, with clips of reporters questioning why Romney has yet to provide a definitive stance.

It ends with a clip of a CNN interview with an undocumented immigrant who said she’d like to know where Romney stands on the issue, and what he’d do as president — meant to convey that it’s an important issue to her and others.
