Nikki Haley Squashes Rumors of Affair with Donald Trump: ‘Disgusting’
Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley recently revealed to Politico that there had been rumors in Washington D.C. that she attained her rank via an affair with President Donald Trump.
These rumors are alleged to have started when firebrand author Michael Wolff appeared with Bill Maher last week and alluded to an affair Trump was currently involved in — saying that he thought it to be true but did not have enough evidence to put it in his book. He did, however, say that a close reading of “Fire and Fury” would reveal who Trump’s mistress likely was.
The speculation fell on Haley, based on a section of book that alleges Trump had been “spending a notable amount of private time with Haley on Air Force One and was seen to be grooming her for a national political future.”
The former governor of South Carolina was quick to squash these rumors, saying the president is certainly not “grooming” her and that she is never even alone with Trump.
“I have literally been on Air Force One once and there were several people in the room when I was there,” she said. “He says that I’ve been talking a lot with the president in the Oval about my political future. I’ve never talked once to the president about my future and I am never alone with him.”
Haley also calls the rumors that she is conducting an extramarital affair with the president “disgusting” and “highly offensive.”
Wolff has not responded to Politico for a comment on the matter.
