Obama: Trump Can’t Be So ‘Improvisational’ Once in Office

President Obama understands just how strange this presidential transition is––probably more so than most.

In a clip today from the president’s upcoming 60 Minutes interview, Obama told Steve Kroft that because Trump was so unconventional as a candidate, he ended up running an “improvisational” campaign.

That’s a quality, he added, that shouldn’t carry over into the presidency.

Kroft took note of how Obama has clearly bitten his tongue during this transition period amid things like Trump’s more off-the-cuff tweets.

The president did say that people shouldn’t “underestimate” Trump because like it or not, he’s about to be the leader of the free world.
