Of Course, This is the Texas Rep Who Might Slap You If You Don’t Say ‘Merry Christmas’

Screen Shot 2015-12-17 at 6.34.37 PMThings at this time of year can get a little contentious in the ‘Merry Christmas’/’Happy Holidays’ feud. Just last month a Georgia sheriff made headlines for putting up a sign that told visitors to leave if they wouldn’t use the typically-Christian salutation; yesterday Fox declared the War on Christmas “over” after CNN’s Wolf Blitzer said “Merry Christmas” during Tuesday night’s debate.

Well by the looks of the guy in this photo, which side of the battle do you think he falls on? How about so far on the Merry Christmas side it ain’t even funny, because he — Texas Commissioner of Agriculture Sid Miller — threatened that he “just might slap” the next person who utters the horrid “Happy Holidays”.

If one more person says Happy Holidays to me I just might slap them. Either tell me Merry Christmas or just don’t say anything.

Miller posted the above message to his public Facebook page yesterday. The photo depicts a man on a bull riding to pick up his saddle sore medicine from the pharmacy. But it’s the message that Miller delivers that’s important. It’s is just like the three gifts that the Wise Men brought to the baby Jesus in Bethlehem:  frankincense, myrrh, and the threat of physical violence against people who don’t say Merry Christmas.

Happy holidays Feliz navidad, everyone!
