‘Oh My’: GOP Senator Calls Out Hannity for Tweet Praising WikiLeaks
Sean Hannity, who once said that people could die as a result of WikiLeaks’ actions, praised them on Twitter today and said no one died and they’re never wrong:
In 10 yrs @wikileaks has gotten nothing wrong & no one's been killed bc of the info released. #freejulianassange #freeinternet for all.
— Sean Hannity (@seanhannity) October 21, 2016
Compare that to this actual comment from Hannity in 2010 in a conversation with Ann Coulter on what WikiLeaks released back then:
“75,000 documents were released, including the names of 100 Afghans that are helping us privately identify Taliban leaders. So all their lives have been put in jeopardy. Then last month… 390,000 classified documents. Now all of a sudden there’s outrage because… this embarrasses the Obama administration… The fact that people may die didn’t motivate them in the early stages of this when the guy [Assange] telegraphed that he was gonna release a lot more of these.”
Well, Hannity’s flip-flop earned him a bit of Twitter mockery tonight:
Raise your hand if you had "Hannity-Assange alliance" in your office pool of insane things that might come true in 2016

Wikileaks practices are now criticized by Glenn Greenwald and praised by Hannity. Time for you to go, 2016. https://t.co/cyHd6QXbGS

Great timing. Hannity praises Wikileaks on the same day they take credit for inspiring a massive cyber attack on the U.S.

Hannity advocates for someone he previously described as "waging war against the U.S." because Assange helps Trump now. https://t.co/uS6YZYGU8y

Oh, and one of the people who called him out was a Republican senator (who, in turn, got called out by WikiLeaks):
Oh my.
