Oregon Shooting Survivor Was Picked by Gunman to Give Envelope to Police

One of the survivors of the Oregon school shooting was chosen by the gunman, deemed the “lucky one,” and given an envelope to hand to the police.

A student identified only as Matthew was picked out and given the envelope. His mother said on CNN earlier today that within it was a flash drive believed to contain writings from the gunman.

Law enforcement officers haven’t confirmed they received that envelope, but it’s been reported they have obtained the shooter’s manifesto.

Matthew’s mother said that he’s very traumatized by the whole ordeal and he won’t be returning to school for a while.
