Sarah Palin Tells Sean Hannity She’s Considering Alaska Senate Run In 2014

After leaving the Alaska governorship in 2009, Sarah Palin may be jumping back into the political scene, telling Sean Hannity on his radio show today that she is considering running in next year’s Alaska Senate election against Democratic incumbent Mark Begich.

Palin told Hannity the Republican party needs “new blood, new energy” in Congress. Hannity asked Palin if she might be one part of that. Palin told him she is considering a Senate run after hearing from people “requesting me to consider it.” She admitted that she’s waiting first to see if a better Republican challenger emerges, and slammed Begich for “being on the wrong side of the aisle” and being too close to Democratic party leaders.

She said, “Any American with a heart for service has to always have in the back of their mind that they would do anything, everything that they could to help the cause.”
