Scott Walker Fires Back: ‘The Media Is a Willing Accomplice of the Left’

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker appeared on Hugh Hewitt‘s radio show today to address the accusations of his involvement in a campaign finance scheme. Walker said two separate judges threw the case out and went after the media for still questioning his involvement, telling Hewitt, “The media is a willing accomplice of the left.”

Hewitt was particularly bothered by a TIME article titled “‘Criminal Scheme’ Will Haunt Scott Walker” that Hewitt said was “objectively slanderous.” Walker said the media is completely ignoring the fact that this case was dismissed twice, and added, “You look at some of these media outlets, and they don’t seem to care much about the truth.”

He went on to accuse the media of being complicit in what is basically a gigantic lie.

“This case has been shut down not once, but twice. It is one where it is filled with mischaracterizations and outright lies. And it’s one in which the media is a willing accomplice of the left, not only in my state, but across the country.”
