Senate Sets Public Kavanaugh Hearing for Next Monday

The White House released a statement to the media on Monday night, granting approval to a new hearing so Brett Kavanaugh can address the misconduct charges leveled against him.
Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court was thrown into disarray ever since Christine Ford came forward and accused him of drunkenly sexually assaulting her when they were both in high school. As Senate Judiciary Committee member John Kennedy says that there will be a public hearing for Kavanaugh and Ford to give their sides of the story, the Trump Administration says the aspiring justice “looks forward to a hearing where he can clear his name of this false allegation.”
NEW statement from the White House on Judge Brett Kavanaugh:
“Judge Kavanaugh looks forward to a hearing where he can clear his name of this false allegation. He stands ready to testify tomorrow if the Senate is ready to hear him.”— Steve Holland (@steveholland1) September 17, 2018
This statement comes after Kavanaugh announced that he’s prepared to go before Congress again to counter the “completely false allegation” against himself.
Multiple reports are saying that there will be a public hearing next Monday at which both Kavanaugh and Ford will be asked to testify.
Buckle up: Public hearing will be Monday, per @SunlenSerfaty
