Spicer: Trump Believes Russia ‘Probably Was Involved’ in Election Interference
During today’s off-camera press briefing, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer told reporters that President Trump believes Russia was “probably” involved in election interference, and other nations were potentially involved as well:
“The statement that he made in January is consistent with what he said the other day, which is that he believes that Russia probably was involved, potentially some other countries as well could have been equally involved––or could have been involved, not equally. And he stands by the statements that he made in January.”
In recent days, President Trump has been critical of the Obama administration after that big Washington Post report last Friday on how they responded to the Russia threat (and one senior official’s lamentation that they “choked.”)
Spicer brought up the concerns of Democrat Adam Schiff yesterday and said there seems to be some “hypocrisy” on the part of the Obama administration.
Spicer reiterated these remarks after the following tweets from the President this weekend:
Just out: The Obama Administration knew far in advance of November 8th about election meddling by Russia. Did nothing about it. WHY?

Since the Obama Administration was told way before the 2016 Election that the Russians were meddling, why no action? Focus on them, not T!

Obama Administration official said they "choked" when it came to acting on Russian meddling of election. They didn't want to hurt Hillary?

The reason that President Obama did NOTHING about Russia after being notified by the CIA of meddling is that he expected Clinton would win..

…and did not want to "rock the boat." He didn't "choke," he colluded or obstructed, and it did the Dems and Crooked Hillary no good.

The real story is that President Obama did NOTHING after being informed in August about Russian meddling. With 4 months looking at Russia…

..under a magnifying glass, they have zero "tapes" of T people colluding. There is no collusion & no obstruction. I should be given apology!
