‘That’s Never Stopped You Before’: Wallace Presses Conway on Nations Excluded from Exec Order

Chris Wallace confronted Kellyanne Conway over President Trump‘s immigration executive order that led to massive outcry and a judge issuing a stay yesterday.

Conway said it’s “nonsense” to call it a Muslim ban and told Wallace that inconvenience to passengers is a “small price to pay” for greater protection of America’s borders.

She said if people are deemed not to be threats, “they can expect to be released in due course.”

Wallace asked her why nations like Saudi Arabia (where 9/11 hijackers came from) are not on the list. Conway correctly noted that the list of seven nations came from the Obama administration.

But Wallace countered, “That’s never stopped you before.”

Conway pointed to the Orlando shooting, San Bernardino, and the Boston bombing to say that even when people are born in the U.S., them traveling overseas and returning after becoming radicalized is a serious problem.
