There is a Season, Intern, Intern, Intern (Mediaite Seeks Fall Interns!)

To all aspiring media mavens – Mediaite is currently seeking internship applicants for Fall 2009.

As readers can probably tell, our interns get a chance to work on all aspects of running a blog – that includes researching, editing, writing, and even (GASP!) receiving bylines (see our current interns, Robert Quigley and Kevin Gotkin, for reference!).

Applicants should be familiar with blogging software, able to produce clear content on deadline, and have a deep knowledge of the current state of media. Graphic design, web design, and/or programming languages such as HTML, Ajax, Java, etc. are also definitely welcome.

Interns must be available to work at least three days a week during September-December. College credit can be arranged.

Please attach THREE documents to your application email:

  • A resume/CV, including references
  • Any two samples of your academic or journalistic writing
  • A brief (1-page) letter explaining why your experience, knowledge, and personality make you the ideal intern for a media blog

Address applications to Andrew Cedotal at internships@mediaite.com.

Applications are due by Friday, August 14. Due to high interest in past postings, we will not be able to respond to every submission. Applicants chosen for an interview will be informed by email no later than Monday, August 17.
