Trump Attacks Kasie Hunt, Saying ‘Politico Is a Scam.’ There’s Just One Problem…

Donald Trump took to Twitter to attack reporter Kasie Hunt for her comments on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, saying in particular that “Politico is a scam.”

.@Morning_Joe can you believe Kasie Hunt’s poor and purposely inaccurate reporting on my great night and crowd in Iowa. @politico is a scam!

The problem, of course, is that Hunt doesn’t work for Politico, and hasn’t since 2011 when she left to work for the Associated Press. She currently reports for MSNBC.

What’s even more baffling, Hunt’s Morning Joe hit had nothing to do with Trump’s Iowa rally. Instead, she reported on Republican efforts to win over Latino voters, especially in states like Colorado. She introduced the segment by mentioning Trump, but said nothing about his rally.

For all the conversation we’ve had about the unique things that Donald Trump brings to this race, don’t forget that it’s that populist immigration rhetoric that’s really in many ways lit up the base of the Republican Party. And the way he’s talking about it has a lot of Republicans here concerned about whether it means that they’re already ceding swing states like Colorado.
