Trump Lawyer Michael Cohen Goes After CNN on Twitter, Tapper and Cuomo Defend Network
Evidently, Saturday night’s all right for Twitter fighting — as Donald Trump lawyer Michael Cohen tried to mix it up with CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, and Cuomo’s colleague Jake Tapper rushed to his defense.
It started when Cuomo fielded a query from a Twitter user on Saturday night, asking what information was true in his network’s reporting — as it related to the briefing that President-elect Donald Trump, President Barack Obama, and eight ranking members of Congress received about potentially “compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump.”
Cuomo’s response? “Everything.”

Cohen — who was said to have been in Prague meeting with Russians in the 35 page dossier published by BuzzFeed in a claim that was later debunked — took umbrage with Cuomo’s statement, and said that even one of his colleagues disagreed with him.

Tapper immediately disputed this.

On Wednesday, Tapper confirmed Cohen’s claim that he was not in Prague, which the network never reported.
“For him to dispute he was in the Czech Republic comports with our reporting,” Tapper said. “It’s one of the reasons the intelligence chiefs did not get specific with these allegations.
