Donald Trump was clearly really, really bothered by what two big-name Republicans said about him today and ripped both of them for their intelligence, amongst other things, in a Twitter rant.
First, John McCain. The Arizona senator said in an interview today that he’s worried about Trump “firing up the crazies” in the GOP over immigration.
Trump called him a “dummy” and said he should apologize:
The thousands of people that showed up for me in Phoenix were amazing Americans. @SenJohnMcCain called them "crazies"–must apologize!

.@SenJohnMcCain should be defeated in the primaries. Graduated last in his class at Annapolis–dummy!

Incidentally, former Democratic congressman John Dingell snarked back at that one:
.@realDonaldTrump Delete your account.

And then there was Rick Perry. Earlier this week Trump trashed Perry for failing at border security while he was the governor of Texas, and Perry responded with a blistering statement saying that Trump isn’t standing for conservatism, he’s standing for his own “toxic mix of demagoguery and nonsense.”
Well, not only did Trump respond, but he ripped Perry for his intellect:
.@GovernorPerry just gave a pollster quote on me. He doesn't understand what the word demagoguery means.

.@GovernorPerry failed on the border. He should be forced to take an IQ test before being allowed to enter the GOP debate.
