Trump Retweets Bill O’Reilly to Slam ‘Fake News’ NBC Amidst Weinstein Scandal

President Donald Trump is back on Twitter Friday morning and he’s taking shots at his favorite enemy: the “fake news” media.
Trump has been ripping on NBC more than usual, ever since the news agency released a report this week that said Rex Tillerson called him a “moron” after the president proposed a tenfold increase to the country’s nuclear arsenal. Trump has suggested that the government ought to challenge NBC’s broadcasting license, and on Friday morning, it seems the president is letting former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly speak for him, retweeting this:
A free press is vital to protecting all Americans. A corrupt press damages the Republic.

Trump also offered a response to another O’Reilly tweet:
The President will not be able to impact licenses, but he is doing major damage to the @NBC brand.

Sadly, they and others are Fake News, and the public is just beginning to figure it out! https://t.co/8B8AyA7V1s

It’s interesting that Trump would recirculate O’Reilly’s tweets about NBC due to the nature of the controversy that currently surrounds the network. NBC took a lot of flak this week after they decided not to run a major expose on Harvey Weinstein’s decades of sexual misconduct. When O’Reilly parted ways with Fox News earlier this year, it was due to revelations that he reached legal settlements with multiple women who accused him of sexual harassment.
Trump sent out tweets on several other subjects today, though his most frequent topic was his executive order to begin dismantling Obamacare:
The Democrats ObamaCare is imploding. Massive subsidy payments to their pet insurance companies has stopped. Dems should call me to fix!

ObamaCare is a broken mess. Piece by piece we will now begin the process of giving America the great HealthCare it deserves!
