Trump Zings ‘Failing New York Times‘ — Days After Granting Them Major Interview

On Thursday, Donald Trump was back on Twitter attacking the failing New York Times. Actually the point of the Tweet focused on how the Times recently called Fox & Friends “the most powerful TV show in America.” but he still called them failing — which isn’t very nice (or true)

The tweet is par for the course in Trump land. The president has routinely called the Times failing, but the latest broadside is the first since Trump’s major, major interview with Times reporters in the Oval Office. On July 19, The Grey Lady published audio and transcripts from the nearly hour long conversation.

Despite calling them “failing,” Trump chose the Times as his venue of choice to begin his now very nasty war with Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Trump told the Times that if he had known Sessions would recuse himself in the Russia probe, he would never have appointed him to the post of Attorney General.

That interview set the stage for “beleaguered Jeff” — and everything else that we have seen since.

Oh and fun fact, unmentioned by Trump, that same New York Times article which called Fox & Friends, the most powerful show in America called also compared it to the children’s television program, Dora the Explorer.

The more you know.
