WATCH: Florida Cop Punches 14-Year-Old Mentally Disabled Girl in Face

On August 5, a 14-year-old mentally disabled girl was detained by Florida police and charged with resisting arrest with violence, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief. While the girl was under detention at Citrus Center for Adolescent Treatment Service, she was involved in a fight with another teen detainee. The police responded to the fight in the most efficient way possible: punching the teen girl in the face.

Broward County authorities have insisted that this incident, captured on surveillance cameras, be fully investigated. Gordon H. Weekes Jr., a Broward County public defender, has also alleged that the Citrus Center’s staffers are injecting the teen detainees with a chemical sedative they refer to as “booty juice.”
