In her first confrontation with the press this month — and just the fifth since Labor Day — Sanders will likely be asked about the president’s thoughts regarding the delay in sentencing for former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.
Other topics ripe for discussion include recent developments in special counsel Robert Mueller‘s probe, a major report compiled for the Senate Intelligence Committee that dives into the breadth of Russian interference on behalf of then-candidate Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election, the looming possibility of a partial government shutdown, and the appointment of acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney.
