Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will hold a briefing today to discuss the White House’s latest plans and administrative agenda.
The briefing is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. EST.
Much of the briefing is likely to focus on President Trump‘s plan for how to rebuild the South after all the damage caused by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma in recent weeks. The situation in Florida is particularly dire due to millions of power outages, a shortage of emergency supplies, and the staggering property damage costs.
It is also possible Sanders will be asked to react to Hillary Clinton‘s remarks about how the former secretary of state is “convinced” Trump’s team worked with Russians during the 2016 election. Clinton’s memoir What Happened went on sale today, though she is currently facing a great deal of criticism over how much of it goes towards blaming the various people and political forces who supposedly stopped her victory last year.
Other topics that might come up include Steve Bannon‘s interview on 60 Minutes, the president’s meeting with Malaysian PM Najb Razak, and whether the anniversary of 9/11 will mark a new shift in America’s war against Islamic terrorism.
