‘Worship Me!’ Stephen Colbert Is Ready to Rule the Apocalypse After NYSE Meltdown
After everyone freaked out today over the New York Stock Exchange meltdown and United grounding all flights, Stephen Colbert made a video asserting his role as king of the new global wasteland.
Colbert explained in as panicked a voice a possible that “our worship of technology has midwived our doom!” and for a few fleeting hours, “America’s bankers had no idea how rich they were!”
He quickly declared, “Worship me, you minions of the worldwide wasteland!” Colbert made it clear that if necessary, he will get a chicken to help him repopulate the earth with.
And just for good measure, he threw in a Mad Max reference.
