‘Would You Please Be Respectful?!’: GOP Senator Snaps at CNN Reporter for Asking Her About Healthcare
It appears that the debate going on in Washington over healthcare and the GOP’s Obamacare replacement bill has led to some frayed nerves — especially among Republican lawmakers.
Earlier today, CNN’s Manu Raju waited in the halls so he could toss some questions at approaching members of Congress. At one point, Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) was walking with a purpose when Raju tried to get her opinion on the Republican proposal. And she wasn’t having it.
“Could you give me a moment to get to my constituents, please?” Murkowski derisively asked Raju. When the reporter tried again, asking if she could give a yes or no on the bill, she stopped and went back to confront Raju.
“Would you please be respectful?!” Murkowski angrily asked. As Raju insisted he was being respectful, the Alaskan lawmaker stomped off.
