Fox & Friends Hosts, Lara Trump Light Up MSNBC Legal Analyst ‘Fawning’ Over Trump Judge After He Admits to ‘Man Crush’
Lara Trump and the hosts of Fox & Friends tore into an MSNBC legal analyst for declaring he has a “man crush” on Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing Donald Trump’s hush money trial in Manhattan.
Lara Trump, the RNC co-chair, joined Fox & Friends on Thursday ahead of the jury in her father-in-law’s case entering a second day of deliberation. MSNBC legal analyst Andrew Weissmann argued on Wednesday that he believes the jury feels similar to him about the judge.
“I have, like, a man crush on him. He is such a great judge that it’s hard to see that the jurors wouldn’t have the same impression,” he said.
“This guy wakes up weaponized to go after Donald Trump, that’s why he likes this judge, this judge who has given to left-wing causes and Joe Biden’s campaign specifically,” Brian Kilmeade said in response to Weissmann, a former investigator for the Mueller Report.
Lawrence Jones predicted if there is a conviction of Donald Trump, it will likely be overturned down the road. The former president is facing more than 30 felony counts for falsifying business records.
“They’re fawning over this judge, and maybe it goes to the point of it was never about a legitimate case, it was about what they could weaponize during a political campaign,” Jones said.
Lara Trump accused Merchan of political bias, claiming he repeatedly ruled against the former president and calling the gag orders issued so Donald Trump would not attack anyone involved in the case “unconstitutional.”
“This is not a surprise at all. This guy is a hero to the left because you have to take a look at all the ways he has ruled against Donald Trump and his defense,” she said.
If there is a conviction, she declared the campaign will turn “lemons into lemonade.” The RNC co-chair noted there’s a chance the former president will need to do more virtual campaigning if he ends up confined to his home for a sentence.
“If you’re a person who wants Joe Biden to be assisted by this case and you dislike Donald Trump, I bet you have a big man crush on Juan Merchan,” she said.
