The New York Times unearthed a book that President Donald Trump reportedly signed to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in 1997 on Thursday, among other documents related to Trump and Epstein.

According to the Times, Trump signed a copy of his book Trump: The Art of the Comeback in October 1997 – the month of the book’s release – to Epstein, writing, “To Jeff — You are the greatest!”

The newspaper published a photo of the inscription, showing Trump’s signature beneath the message.

The New York Times also discovered a contributor list for a personal book celebrating Epstein’s 50th birthday, which also reportedly included Trump’s name.

Trump is suing the Wall Street Journal and Rupert Murdoch for publishing an article this month that claimed the president wrote a letter for Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the letter contained a crude sketch of a naked woman, complete with Trump’s signature as the pubic hair, along with the text, “A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”

The president has denied authoring the latter, claiming, “I never wrote a picture in my life” – despite Trump signing a number of drawings of the New York City skyline in the 1990s and 2000s.

The Times reported on Thursday that other contributors to Epstein’s 50th birthday book included former Victoria’s Secret CEO Leslie Wexner, former Bear Stearns CEO Alan C. Greenberg, and physicist Murray Gell-Mann.

The newspaper also published an introduction Epstein’s partner Ghislaine Maxwell wrote for the book, as well as a photograph of Trump and Epstein smiling with the late singer James Brown.

In a statement to the New York Times, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung claimed, “This is nothing more than a continuation of the fake news stories concocted by the Democrats and the liberal media.”
