Trump Thrashes ‘Lightweight’ Trevor Noah and Democrats ‘Pushing’ Epstein Claims in Oval Office Rant

President Donald Trump doubled down on his plan to sue Trevor Noah on Monday after the comic joked about the president hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein while hosting the Grammy Awards a night earlier.

He also weaved in shots at the Democratic party — which he said didn’t care about Epstein until they could use him as a weapon to wreck Trump’s presidency — and at author Michael Wolff for “conspiring” with the dead sex criminal.

ABC senior political correspondent Rachel Scott asked Trump “Are you going to sue Trevor Noah?” while the president spoke to reporters at the White House on Monday afternoon. She pointed to the president’s post from around 1:00 a.m. where he said Noah was his next legal target.

“Yeah, well he said that I spent time on Jeffrey Epstein’s island,” Trump said. “I didn’t.”

Trump said Noah did a “lousy” job hosting the awards show — but “not as bad as Jimmy Kimmel,” allowing him to get a punch in against one of his longtime foes.

“He made a statement about me and Jeffrey Epstein,” Trump continued. “I have nothing to do with that. I have nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein.”

Noah made the following crack about Trump, ex-President Bill Clinton, and Epstein right after Billie Eilish won the award for Song of the Year on Sunday night:

Congratulations, Billie Eilish. Wow, that’s a Grammy that every artist wants — almost as much as Trump wants Greenland.

Which makes sense because, since Epstein’s gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton. I told you it’s my last year [hosting]! What are you going to do about it?

Trump then pointed to the 3.5 million Epstein-related files the Justice Department released last week — which he said over the weekend “absolve” him of any claims of improper behavior.

The president said on Monday the DOJ should say “we have other things to do” than focus on Epstein; he said it has turned up dirt on Clinton and Bill Gates, but not him.

“The Democrats are pushing it,” Trump said about the Epstein news. “And the problem is it’s turning out to be the Democrats that were with — and conspired with — Epstein.”

Trump also skewered Wolff as a “sleaze bag” writer who plotted with Epstein to bring him down.

Epstein asked Ken Starr in 2018 to help Wolff with indicting a “sitting pres,” according to the latest batch of Epstein files. That came after a 2016 message from Wolff to Epstein was released last November, in which Wolff told Epstein he could “help finish” Trump by dishing dirt on the eve of the presidential election.

Wolff also plotted with Epstein in emails from 2015 that were released at the same time. Wolff wrote to Epstein: “If [Trump] says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house … then that gives you valuable PR and political currency. You can hang him.”

Trump over the weekend said he is planning on suing Wolff over his Epstein ties. He ended his 110-second answer by lifting his arms up and marveling that he was the president again, despite the Dems “conspiring” against him.

“They were working together to try and help me lose the election,” Trump said. “But this is the Oval Office, so I guess that didn’t work out to well.”
