‘Uncontrollable Narcissism and Rage’: Fox’s Tarlov Hits Trump Over Comments About Nikki Haley in Victory Speech

Fox News host Jessica Tarlov had sharp words for former President Donald Trump a few hours after he won the Republican New Hampshire primary on Tuesday.

Trump defeated former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, with his lead at about 12 points as of this writing with more votes to be counted. Haley vowed to keep running and is setting her sights on next month’s primary in her home state of South Carolina, where she trails Trump significantly in the polls.

Naturally, Trump lashed out at Haley in his victory speech and commented on his former U.N. ambassador’s dress.

“I find in life, you can’t let people get away with bullshit,” Trump told supporters after his win. “And when I watched her in the fancy dress that probably wasn’t so fancy, come up, I said, ‘What’s she doing? We won.’”

Fox’s Martha MacCallum asked Tarlov about the state of the race in the wake of Trump’s victory.

“In the 2015 campaign, it was all about bringing out new voters, about electrifying the base which has stuck by President Trump throughout all of this,” MacCallum said. “But I wonder if they’re going to pivot this time to try to get some of these voters that are voting for Nikki Haley, that, some of them have voted for Ron DeSantis, who maybe is more in his lane. But the Nikki Haley voter, are they gonna try to get them, do you think?”

Tarlov, who is left of center, responded:

Well, I am certainly not an adviser to the Trump campaign. But you know, we talk in the millions of votes when we’re talking about the general election, but it actually comes down to the tens of thousands, right? The margins in Georgia, in Arizona, in Michigan, and Pennsylvania, it’s minute, right?

It can be the difference between whether you came out and criticized your opponent’s dress which some could interpret as demeaning a woman again, which is obviously something that he suffers from, or just making a little offhanded comment [and] someone says, “You know what? I’m gonna sit home,” or, “Actually I want four more years of Joe Biden… But he has an uncontrollable narcissism and rage about him when he feels insulted.
