‘You Are a Misogynist!’ Hecklers Interrupt Defense Secretary Nominee Pete Hegseth’s Opening Statement

The opening statement of Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth was interrupted multiple times by hecklers protesting the confirmation hearings of the former Fox News host.

Hegseth’s history of alleged philandering and binge drinking has made the controversial nomination of a Fox News host by President-elect Donald Trump even more tenuous, and while much of the hecklers’ words were unintelligible to television viewers, “You are a misogynist” can be heard.

After the initial heckler was physically removed from the Senate hearing room, another individual interrupted Hegseth’s opening remarks, and was seen being carried out by security guards in attendance.
