Fox & Friends Hosts Hit Comey for Tweets Blasting Barr: ‘Aren’t People Tired of Listening to Him?’

The Fox & Friends weekend hosts knocked former FBI Director James Comey this morning for his tweets last night blasting Attorney General Bill Barr and President Donald Trump.

After Barr’s interview on Fox News, Comey tweeted last night that the AG is “sliming his own Department”:

Jedediah Bila asked why he’s weighing in at all, saying, “Aren’t people tired of listening to him? This is the guy who completely messed up when it came to the Clinton investigation. It was ridiculous watching him skirt around gross negligence. ‘Oh, she was extremely careless, but I’m not going to call it gross negligence, because I don’t want there to be any criminal violations here.’ He messed up so royally that so many people are so sired of him, I don’t know if people on the left have the stomach for Comey’s commentary.”

Pete Hegseth agreed that Comey has no “base or constituency out there to defend him.”

Ed Henry brought up an issue raised by The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway that Comey is criticizing the AG when he’s “basically being investigated by Bill Barr.”

“James Comey, who’s maybe a little fearful, is all of a sudden lashing out. What has him worried? Why is he lashing out?” he asked, before showing some of Barr’s comments to Bill Hemmer yesterday.

Hegseth also praised “baller Bill Barr” for not caring about his critics.
