Florida Woman Hosts Party to Celebrate Probation End, Promptly Arrested

A Florida woman found out the hard way that one shouldn’t party to hard to celebrate the end of probation. That’s because, if too many illegal things happen at said party, one’s new window of freedom will come to an abrupt halt.

NBC 2 reports that 23-year-old Krystal Kurlowich had been on probation for drug charges. Following the probationary period’s end, however, she found herself wanting to take the greatest advantage of her freedom as possible.

How? By telling her mother she was going to dinner, then hosting a party at a local hotel with drugs, alcohol and six teenage friends instead.

Unfortunately for the Fort Myers resident and her impromptu party, however, the festivities quickly came to a halt when the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a noise complaint from a neighboring room.

According to Kurlowich’s mother, Krystal has had trouble with the law several times before.

Kurlowich was arrested, as was one of her friends, who was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. She has since been released and is currently being held at a mental health facility.
