Fox News Criticizes Hillary Clinton for Blaming Fox News for Covering Hillary Clinton

If you’ve watched a decent amount of Fox News over the past few weeks, you’d be forgiven for thinking Hillary Clinton was actually the president. The obsessive coverage has become so noteworthy that not only are rival channels’ media correspondents openly talking about it, but so is Hillary herself.

In response to Clinton saying over the weekend that Fox News seems to think she lives in the White House, The Five devoted a segment to essentially blaming the former Democratic presidential nominee for forcing them to cover her.

“Oh, Hillary, you big loser,” co-host Greg Gutfeld said, getting things started. “It’s true. She lost. It’s a fact. It’s true we at Fox News love some Hillary because she is in the news even though she lost. And it’s because she lost that we are now finding out more about her campaign of dirty tricks. This is the side benefit of Trump’s win.”

He went on to bring up recent reports related to Clinton and Russia that have shown up in The Hill, Washington Post, and Mother Jones, explaining that they are just commenting on these stories.

“Let’s not forget the person spending the most time on Hillary is Hillary,” Gutfeld continued. “Her ‘blame everyone but me’ tour keeps going. She is the Energizer Bunny in a pantsuit.”

After co-host Juan Williams said Clinton may have a point because the right maker her “bigger than life,” Gutfeld claimed that he does love covering her because it is “comic relief.” He followed that up by playing a clip of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway saying they would like to stop talking about Clinton but she won’t go away.

“Hillary is like the boxer who won’t leave the ring when the fight is over,” co-host Jesse Watters stated. “She is still out there throwing punches. Of course we are going to cover it.”

He added, “I think she likes it Fox covers her the way we do. Makes her feel relevant.”

Prior to this segment, Watters weighed in on the revelation that former Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulos had pled guilty to lying to the FBI on his Russia ties, claiming that “Hillary did ten times worse.”
