Karl Rove: Democrats Showed ‘Enormous Message Discipline,’ GOP ‘Would Be Wise to Emulate That’
Some Fox Newsers Tuesday night had praise for the way the Democrats handled the roll call for officially nominating Joe Biden.
Dana Perino commended how the night went overall before saying, “I don’t ever want to see another roll call taken in a convention hall. I think this has been awesome. I loved this trip around America.”
Juan Williams agreed and said, “I enjoyed that trip across America so much… You could see so many parts of our spectacular country. I love it.”
Karl Rove started by saying he “hated the video swing around the country” and favors “people in the goofy hats and nutty outfits” on the convention floor.
But as he criticized another aspect of the night, Rove did give the Democrats some credit for what the roll call illuminated:
“The Democrats did something tonight the Republicans ought to emulate… There was enormous message discipline. Whether it was Bill Clinton talking about covid — did you notice how many of the people in the roll call made a reference to the plague in their state?… I thought that was enormously good discipline. The Republicans would be wise to emulate that.”
