Lindsey Graham Calls on Putin’s Allies to Assassinate Him: ‘Take This Guy Out’

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) called for one or more of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s personal allies to assassinate him a week after Russia invaded Ukraine.

Russian troops have increased the brutality of their attacks on Ukraine’s cities and civilians, according to U.S. officials.

Around 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant near the city of Enerhodar was shelled by Russian forces.

For now, it appears as though the situation at the power plant is under control.

While appearing on Fox News’ Hannity during the initial reporting of the incident, Graham invoked both the assassination of Julius Caesar and the failed 1944 assassination attempt on German dictator Adolf Hitler.

While discussing Putin’s escalating attacks with Sean Hannity, he said someone close to Putin needs to kill him:

What happens is that Putin looks at Biden, he sized him up, he thinks he can get away with it, and he’s going to keep going and going and going, and nobody in the West is going to stop him. How does this end? Somebody in Russia has to step up to the plate. Is there a Brutus in Russia? Is there more successful Col. Stauffenberg in the Russian military? The only way this ends, my friend, is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out. You would be doing your country a great service and the world a great service.

Graham took to Twitter quickly after the interview and again called for someone close to Putin to step up and neutralize him.
