Michael Avenatti Calls Michael Cohen’s Lawyer ‘A Hack Straight-Out of Central Casting’

In response to an attack on his “deflated ego,” Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti called Michael Cohen’s legal representative David Schwartz “a hack straight-out of central casting.”

The slam came just days after Avenatti and Schwartz faced off in a shouting match on CNN, during which Daniels’ lawyer repeatedly called Cohen — who is Trump’s personal lawyer — “a thug.”

Avenatti, while appearing on CBS This Morning, dismissed Schwartz claiming he is abusing “the legal system in order to continue to inflate Michael Avenatti’s deflated ego and keep himself relevant.”

“He is a hack straight out of central casting,” Avenatti quickly shot back in response. “Next question.”

As for the last time Avenatti and Schwartz met, the two appeared on a panel with CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Jeffrey Toobin, and Daniels’ lawyer said, “[Michael Cohen] doesn’t even know the law. He’s a thug. Your friend is a thug!” The confrontational clip has since gone viral, with Fox News hosts even comparing the segment to a “Ultimate Fighting Championship” match and an episode of The Jerry Springer show.

The reason for the dispute is the $130,000 in “hush money” from Cohen that was paid to Stormy Daniels just before the 2016 presidential election, as Trump’s personal attorney used it in an attempt to keep Daniels from going public with the claim that she had an extramarital affair with the now-president. However, with the porn star now coming forward anyway, a legal battle between Avenatti, Cohen and Schwartz has ensued.
