Sanders Hits Back at Hillary by Listing Reasons She’s ‘Not Qualified’ to Be President
Bernie Sanders ratcheted up his attacks on Hillary Clinton at a rally tonight by rattling off a list of reasons he thinks she’s not qualified for the presidency.
After bringing up how Clinton apparently called him unqualified, Sanders told his New York crowd, “I don’t believe she is qualified if she is…” The audience immediately cut him off with loud cheering.
Now, for the record, it’s not clear that Clinton has actually called Sanders “unqualified,” but it’s likely he was referring to Clinton saying he’s out of his depth in response to a subpar interview he gave this week.
It’s worth noting that Clinton was specifically asked in that interview multiple times if Sanders is unqualified and refused to outright say it.
Nonetheless, Sanders continued:
“…if she is, through her Super PAC, taking tens of millions of dollars in special interest funds. I don’t think that you are qualified if you get 15 million dollars from Wall Street through your Super PAC. I don’t think you are qualified if you have voted for the disastrous war in Iraq.”
He also brought up her support of “disastrous” trade agreements and even invoked the now-infamous Panama Papers.
