Scaramucci Scolds Bannon Over Trump-Russia ‘Treasonous’ Remarks: ‘Get Back to Your Therapist’

Anthony Scaramucci knocked Steve Bannon in an interview on CNN Thursday over the Breitbart chairman’s comments in a new book on the White House in which he apparently referred to a meeting between the Trump campaign and Russians as “treasonous.”
In comments released as part of an excerpt of Michael Wolff’s upcoming book on the Trump White House, Bannon trashed the president’s son Don Jr. and son-in-law Jared Kushner for their controversial meeting with Russian nationals promising dirt on then-campaign rival Hillary Clinton. Bannon called the meeting “treasonous,” “unpatriotic,” and “bad shit.”
And Scaramucci — the man who lasted 10-days in the White House as communications director — vehemently defended Don Jr. against Bannon’s broadside in an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo.
“Donald J. Trump Jr. is a very honest person, he’s an American patriot, and to call him treasonous, you’ve got something wrong with you, pal,” the Mooch gushed to Cuomo.
“You’ve gotta get back to your therapist, and get back on air, and take it back,” he continued.
Cuomo pointed out that Bannon has had the opportunity to retract the remarks, but has not done so.
Earlier in the segment, Scaramucci doubled down on his previous on-the-record criticisms of Bannon:
“I said the truth six months ago of what he was like as a person,” Scaramucci said –
referring to his infamous phone call with a New Yorker reporter, that preceded his ouster from the White House, in which he declared: “I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own cock.”
“He’s for Steve, we’re for the President,” Scaramucci said of Bannon on CNN.
