Seth Meyers Mocks Trump’s Calls With Sean Hannity: It’s Like ‘Dogs Sniffing Each Other’s Butts’
On Wednesday night, Late Night host Seth Meyers mocked President Donald Trump‘s reported frequent phone calls with Fox News personality Sean Hannity.
During a segment called A Closer Look, Meyers started by noting that during an interview with Fox News, Trump basically said he doesn’t really have a decision-making process.
“How, when you’re sitting at the desk, how do you make decisions?” Fox News Sunday Host Chris Wallace asked in the clip of the interview shown by Meyers.
Trump replied: “I don’t think about them.”
Speaking of that interview exchange, Meyers snarked, “Yeah, yeah we know [that you don’t think about them].”
Next, turning to Hannity and Trump’s friendship, Meyers started off by saying Hannity was maybe the person closest in the world to the president.
The Late Night host then noted a report claiming Hannity and Trump talk on the phone multiple times a day.
“Can you imagine that conversation?” Meyers asked. “It’s probably the phone call version of two dogs sniffing each other’s butts.”
Piling on with the snark, Meyers then said this: “No one has parlayed the president into less impressive celebrity friends. I mean JFK used the presidency to hangout with Marilyn Monroe. Trump plays phone-a-friend with the human embodiment of a Christmas ham.”
