‘Shame on You’: Hannity Cuts Off Muslim Guest After Testy Exchange over Terrorism
Sean Hannity cut off a Muslim guest tonight who was in the middle of scolding him for repeatedly asking him if Hamas is a terrorist organization.
Hassan Shibly, the executive director of CAIR Florida, was on Hannity’s show to talk about his representation of the family of Alabama college student Hoda Muthana, who left the U.S. to join ISIS and did an exclusive interview with BuzzFeed. Shibly said the family is horrified by how she’s now surrounded by an “extremist violent gang of monsters.”
Hannity repeatedly pressed Shibly on why CAIR’s involved and called them a controversial group. Shibly told him to stop changing the subject, and Hannity said, “I’ll ask any question I want, this is my show.”
But it got even more heated when Hannity asked Shibly if Hamas is a terrorist organization. Shibly got annoyed with Hannity, and kept saying this is not what he came on to discuss.
As Hannity appeared to wrap up the interview, Shibly said, “Shame on you for just asking every Muslim what he thinks of terrorist organizations.”
