State Dept. Spox on Her O’Reilly Tweet: He Used ‘Sexist, Personally Offensive Language’
State Department deputy spokesperson Marie Harf tweeted out some provocative words about Bill O’Reilly today in response to his comments about how “out of her depth” fellow State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki is.
Here’s the tweet in question:
.@statedeptspox explains foreign policy w/ intelligence & class. Too bad we can't say the same about @oreillyfactor: http://t.co/n1I5B6kheF

Well, at today’s State Department briefing, Harf was asked about her tweet, and she said in no uncertain terms she thought O’Reilly was being sexist:
“I think that when the anchor of a leading cable news show uses––quite frankly––sexist, personally offensive language that I actually don’t think they would ever use about a man, against the person that shares this podium with me, I think I have an obligation and I think it’s important to step up and say that’s not okay.”
